I am not in love with Shoaib Malik: Sayali Bhagat

Former Miss India Sayali Bhagat is back on sliver screen with her two flicks Paying Guest and Kirkit releasing back to back. The model turned actress has achieved success not only in Bollywood but down the South too. The glamorous girl has won the hearts of many but she has never and will not go beyond her limits of glamourisation. Even if the industry demands so but still it’s a big no - no for the girl. “I am not game for any senseless glamour. The producers who did come to me with such offers went disappointed as I made my stand clear, says Sayali. “I would do only that much which my films required. At the end of the day I want to do acting and showcase my talent. I have always looked for meatier and interesting roles than glamourous roles, ” she adds. Though we all know how meatier and glamourous she was with Emran in her first movie. As now that Sayali has become choosy lets hear from her of what will be the criteria for taking up the films. “Criteria on the basic level film have to excite me. Secondly I have a gut feeling on how the film will shape up and of course the third criteria will be the meat in the role than length, ” she chirps. Lastly Miss India was annoyed on being asked about the much talk rapport of her and Shoaib Malik. “It’s absolutely not true. I have always denied it and I have always said that there was nothing there is nothing and will be nothing between us.” Well this seems to be quite meaty than a role too. Isn’t it?

Sayali in Wilson Louis' love story!

Sayali blushes as director Wilson Louis offers a love story to Sayali and Cricketer Shoaib Mallik.

Former Miss India and actress Sayali Bhagat was pleasantly surprised when the director of film SHOUT, Wilson Louis told Sayali that he finds the story of Sayali and Shoaib very interesting and would like to make a realistic love story on the same.

Wilson, an accomplished and talented director, whose film script is in Oscar libraries and SHOUT under production, has met Shoaib too. Although Sayali maintains and still says that Shoaib is a very close and dear friend but it's too early for love and relationship. And admits "I'm flattered by the offer'.

Recently when one of the leading tabloids spoke to Shoaib's spokesman, he confirmed the news and said that an e–mail to that effect has been sent. The e–mail quotes Shoaib saying 'I would like to do a good Hindi film. Besides, Wilson is talented and yes it excites me to do a love story with Sayali.'

On receiving the e–mail, Vinith Handa, business manager of Sayali Bhagat and Supervising Producer of the film SHOUT is flooded with calls from the Producers and Corporate Houses to produce the film. As it is a complete designed project with artists, director, story and dates. On which Vinith confirmed 'Yes, such a project is designed but I await the best proposal, which is a combo of good production and promotion.

Pakistan captain denies affair with Sayali Bhagat

Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has denied reports of his making secret trips across the border to keep alive his affair with former Miss India and Bollywood actress Sayali Bhagat.

Shoaib however admitted that Sayali was a "close and dear friend" whom he met at a promotional event during the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this year.

"Sayali is a close and dear friend and that's about it," Shoaib told.

Media reports from across the border linked Malik with Sayali, the Bollywood beauty who made her film debut by starring opposite Emraan Hashmi in The Train.

Malik has been frequently travelling to India this year and in fact has been spending most of his off season there. When asked whether his relationship was the reason behind the trips, Malik said: "I've a contract with Reebok in India and have to go there once in a while for promotional activities. My friendship with Sayali has nothing to do with it."

While Malik tried to play down his affair with the former Miss India, Pakistani media has been flashing news on their romance.

According to reports they met at a store opening in Delhi last year and since then, kept in touch via email and occasional phone calls.

Talking to a leading daily Sayali said, "We need more time because we are just getting to know each other. Our religion is not an issue, I am more concerned about the distance between us.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, but I believe when you want something from the heart — the whole universe conspires to get it for you.” she added. But Malik is more focused on his team's next international assignment, the proposed three-nation tournament in South Africa involving Sri Lanka and the hosts next month.

"The postponement of the Champions Trophy was a big blow for us. But we have to leave it behind and get ready for the next assignment."

Malik hoped his players will be ready for the challenge in South Africa.

The triangular event is being planned at the request Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which is trying to compensate for the postponement of the Champions Trophy which was supposed to take place here Sep 12-28.

There have been reports that Malik is likely to lose his captaincy following the resignation of PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf, who elevated the experienced all-rounder to the important position after the World Cup debacle last year.

Malik has been criticised for being a 'weak' captain in recent times and it is expected that he could lose the captaincy to either vice-captain Misbah-ul-Haq or senior batsman Younis Khan.

But Malik said that he is not under any pressure.

"It's an honour to lead Pakistan and I am doing it to the best of my ability," he said.
