Shriya is hot and getting hotter!

With an appearance in Mission Istanbul, Shriya Saran is finally being recognized in Bollywood for her flexibility and hard work over the last few years. Her career is now expected to move into the Red Hot Zone.

She started her career with a bang in Santosham in 2002, opposite Nagarjuna. She received her first award in 2005 when she won the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for Chatrapathi. She also won the Best Hindi Female Debut Award for her role as Aaliya in Awaarapan in 2007. However, she really hit the big time with last year's groundbreaking movie Sivaji. Her star status was confirmed when the Hindu Makkal Katchi morality squad reported her to the police for wearing a clinging outfit at the celebrations for the movie.

But Shriya is very flexible and also works well in the English language - she's currently in two movies: What's Cooking and The Other End of the Line, which costars Jesse Metcalfe with whom, rumour has it, she is romantically linked.

How does Shriya feel about acting? "I love to do challenging and performance-oriented films if the offers come my way. I was lucky enough to get such roles quite early. I have proved that I can carry off well both in glamorous and performance-oriented films."

Audiences worldwide can expect to see Shriya featuring in Hindi, Telegu and English films coming their way this year

Saif's production to commence soon in London!

As is known, top actor Saif Ali Khan has turned to production, with not one but two ventures. While the first one will be directed by Imtiaz Ali (JAB WE MET), and will star Saif along with Deepika Padukone and a newcomer, the second will be by Sriram Raghavan. Here is more about the inaugural project.

As per sources, the Imtiaz Ali project is all set to commence in London, later this month or early July. Saif will sport a new hairstyle and has called his stylist Aalim Hakim to London to finalize his look. Aalim confirmed the news and also disclosed that one of his assistants will always be present on the sets to help Saif in case of any exigency arising out of his new looks.

While on the above project, a major portion of the film will be shot in and around London.

Pritam's item song 'Fashion' unveiled in HAAL E DIL

Ok, so Pritam can take a bow yet again. His latest single 'Agg Lage Aaj Kal De Fashion Nu' which has been incorporated in HAAL-E-DIL has been unveiled. And as expected, yet again the results are quite heartening.

Picturised on the three debutant actors in this Kumar Mangat film, Nakuul Mehta, Adhyayan Suman and Amita Pathak, the song has been specially created for the promotional purpose. Mainly shot indoors with the three newcomers jiving to the hip-hop beats of this Pritam composition, the song comes with a mix of English and Hindi lyrics, a cute sounding girl chorus, a spirited duo of Labh Janjua and Hard Kaur, a dash of Punjabi folk and some great club rhythm in motion.

With Ganesh Acharya's eye catchy dance steps aiding to the song's appeal, 'Agg Lage Aaj Kal De Fashion Nu' has all in it to add on the list of many other chartbuster songs created by the composers Vishal Bhardwaj, Anand Raaj Anand and Raghav Sachar for the film.

Bhatts experience the JANNAT!

All those who were thinking that JANNAT was a media hyped success can hide in a corner! After a very good first week which proved that an excellent opening weekend wasn't quite just a flash in the pan, the film did very well in the second week as well.

Overwhelming opening of the film had prompted Bhatts to increase the number of prints in the second week at number of territories. This paid dividends for the investors as the film fell by only around 35-40%, hence bringing the film's collection close to 25 crores in two weeks flat.

Sustained collections like these have managed to bring this medium budget film straight away into the SUPERHIT category. Though for Bhatts and Emraan Hashmi, this worked as a shot in the arm, the film's heartening performance has also made Kunal Deshmukh a director to reckon with who has now joined the accomplished list of Bhatt protegees like Anubhav Sinha and Mohit Suri.

Bhatts, Hashmi and composer Pritam would now be having their next release as RAAZ 2 for which shooting is currently on in full swing.
