Deepika came on the scene at the 5th January 1986, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is the daughter of Prakash Padukone and Ujjal, the IBF champion was. The sporting genes leads in their family for which she even played badminton at the state level, and 10 class, while her younger sister Anisha took the decision to sport at a professional level, with a keen interest in golf .
