Perle d’Italia
- As one of the most fascinating places in Italy and the whole of The Mediterranean, The Isle Of Capri is also referred to as The Blue Island, The sleeping beauty or even better The Island of Love.
- Situated some 35km from the Neapolitan coasts, beyond the Sorrentine peninsula and bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea the island has mainly a hilly territory. It has two ommunes: Capri and Anacapri, which is located high on the hills to the west….
- There are many exciting places to see and explore. The Blue Grotto is being just one of them. It was discovered at the beginning of the 19th century by the German writer who described it as extraordinary. In the past the grotto was not really famous among the locals because it was thought to have been inhabited by the witches and monsters. But that was just one of the legends associated with this phenomenal place. You can enter the cave in the small boats that carry maximum 3 passangers. There you will discover a breathtaking view – magnificent blue tones of Grotta Azzurra which are created by the daylight entering via an underwater opening just below the entrance to the cave.
- The other emblem of the island are imposing rocky massifs called The Faraglioni. There are three of them out of which the first called Stella is still attached to the land, while the second Fraglione di Mezzo, which is characterized by a natural tunnel and the third Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo are separated and stretch into the sea. Their average height is about 100m.
- From the top of Anacapri you an enjoy the stunning panoramic sea views which is why it has always been a perfect places for artist seeking inspiration for their works of art. The famous staircase calledScala Fenicia that connects Anacapri with Marina Grande is also one of the attractions in the island.
- With its mild climate, beautiful scenery, luxurious villas, magnificent Italian cuisine and hospitality of the locals you will have a memorable experience of the magical Island of Capri!!!
